The Fine Art
Museum quality portraits, blending new world and old school techniques. Vin Weathermon offers three heirloom genres:
Vin Weathermon is a Southern California native and an acclaimed artist of 30 years. In Vin’s photography career, he has achieved true mastery in various artistic genres. Today, he captures the unique and elegant characteristics of an individual or a family in near life-sized wall portraits. His passion of photography and his interest in learning additional mediums, led him to renaissance style portraiture. With each fine art portrait, he communicates the soul and personality of each subject. The end result is modern day meets old school classic. Timeless is the goal.
"Vin is more than an artist, Vin captures who you are...not just how you look. His portraits capture the true essence and emotion of his subjects in a way that defies description." ~Trisha
If you haven't seen Vin's studio and gallery, you really must visit to fully appreciate the depth and beauty of his work. You can learn more about his work and view the portraits for yourself, by booking an appointment. As part of the experience, guests enjoy wine and cheese, or whatever food and beverage they request, prior to the creative session.
The Creation Session
The initial creation session is where the subject dresses in formal or thematic attire and we capture the initial image. Often this is a relaxed, comfortable experience over a glass of wine, or beverage of choice. Note: There is never a cost for a tour or creative session.
The Reveal Session
Vin's team prepares a presentation of the photo session at the studio. During this visit, we select the chosen photo to then transform into a renaissance portrait. Once selected, we artistically enhance the canvas portrait with underpainting, brush contours, oil brush detail finished with real lacquer. Finally, we add the museum quality gilded gold frame along with dust-proof backing and a certificate of authenticity.
The Reveal Social
The grand reveal can be held at our studio, on location of choice or at your home with your friends and family in attendance.
