Each original painting is a work of fine art collaboration. The historic Orange County studio, located in Irvine, California, is where the art session begins.
After the initial interview, we invite you to schedule a professional creation session. After the creation session, we invite you back to view your fine art photography portraits. Once you select your favorite, our team of artists thoughtfully create your oil detailed portrait with exquisite mastery.
With professional photography, digital underpainting and exquisite detailing in the oil medium, each portrait has depth and dimension. Each layer refines the original image to further express the character of the individual or family. Lastly, the portrait is completed with a museum quality gold frame and best-in-class lighting options.
We also offer a grand reveal social at the Irvine studio, on location of choice, or at your home with your friends and family in attendance.
A fine art renaissance portrait by Vin Weathermon captures a moment. Through collaboration and detailed direction, we create a timeless treasure for you to keep and the moment itself is experiential.
Q: What do you create?
A: Luxury portraits that capture the true essence of the subject, in renaissance style and structure. These portraits are large scale to fill walls and the exquisite detail will magnetically draw the eyes to the lasting image.
Q: How do you make them?
A: The initial creation session is where the subject dresses in formal or thematic attire and we capture the initial image. Our team of artists then transform the image into a painting with oil brush detail and finish the piece with museum quality frames, complete with custom engraved nameplates. If the client is local in Orange County, the final piece is revealed, or couriered directly to their residence or business. We can also ship the package anywhere in the world.
Q: Why Renaissance Portraiture?
A: The renaissance style is evocative, classic, and the perfect way to showcase what makes a family or individual truly unique, as an heirloom or legacy piece of art. The fine art portraits are created to last more than 100 years with proper care.
The late Phillip Stewart Charis inspired me, and much of my work has his influence of “chiaroscuro” for dramatic impact.
